Oh Eldon, my Eldon. XD You have to be one of my favorite authors/artist. The strips are true art and the writing is WONDERFUL. Excuse me, I have something on my nose. XD
Generally it takes about 5-6 hours to produce the art for a single strip. That is not including layouts and lettering. So, you can imagine that the double sized Monday comics can take up to 10-12 hours to finish.
Starting this week though, A3 has gone completely digital. Meaning, the entire comic has been produced using a Cintiq. It cuts a hefty chunk of time out the process, which I use to color the comic now.
You guy have a Cintiq too ???? (David Reddick uses one, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Steve Ogden told us he has the only 32” Cintiq on this side of the Verse)
Gods of Ireland !! I’m gonna die if I don’t get one soon. I’ve been doing all the Oghme strips digital too, but on a penabled Toshiba Laptop. Works… But a Cintiq ? Holy Dagda !
And right, digital helped me double my productivity. Oghme Comics wouldn’t have been possible before the digital age, you know, during the Iron Age, with stone and chisels.
And by all means, I LOVE your colors. You managed to keep this pastel feeling of yours which lets your strong inking express itself. Ex-cel-lent.
Only been reading for a few days (managed to read the whole archive now though) and whilst I love the line work, I have to agree that the colour really adds to, and helps make sense of the image at a glance.
I guess the guards managed to radio in her location, or someone on the castle wall has a bead on her… which tells us the castle wall is manned and not abandoned like the inside.
Just gotta keep saying the colour is awesome! Keep it up as long as you can, it’s amazing how much more of the world we can make out with that difference alone.
dang that floss-stitched wound looks baaaaaaad XD im surprised you could remember little battle scars like that!
yay detail!

Awwwww…I’m blushing over here.
How long does it take you to do a strip, Eldon?

Soo, there you go.

Thanks Adam! The colored strips have received a very positive response so far, so they are here to stay. ( For awhile at least. )
MORTAR!
