An interesting topic came up on my last group outing to the comic shop. One of my fellow comic nerds mentioned that it was hard to find titles he could share with his son. I couldn’t disagree with him, the books that cram store shelves these days contain an extravagant amount of graphic violence and adult situations. Not to say that these comics don’t have their place, but it saddens me deeply to see the vast majority of books being inaccessible to kids. ( Not to mention, incredibly too expensive for a kid’s practically nonexistent budget. ) Which brings me to the point. I’ve been exchanging virtual mails with Brian Lueng over at Kidjutsu for a little bit now and feel his cause is worth supporting.
Kidjutsu is a free webcomic site where kids can go to browse through child friendly titles. So far there are 95 creators signed up with lots of daily updates, ensuring that there is plenty of comic goodness to go around. Which is great, cause you may not want the young-uns browsing the interweb for comics on their lonesome. Not to mention the quick comic br0wser, which is really fast and easy to use.
So a big thanks goes out to Brian for remembering the kids, and be sure to visit Kidjutsu.
Thanks for reading,
Eldon.
