Due to your comments on this post, I’m going to start implementing some changes to the strip. Thank you for your suggestions and even more for your readership.
I visit this site every day, even on weekends! And I love the story. I can understand the language barrier in the beginning of the story but after spending some time with the aliens, I think it’s time for Emily to have a basic grasp of the aliens’ dictum. So it would be very appreciated if you’d start having them talk in

All in all, great comic! And I can’t wait where all of this will lead to.
One suggestion, maybe the Alt-text for the comics could be replaced by a translation of the alien speech. That way, the comic still keeps the sense of Emily’s isolation and bewilderment but those readers who want to pick up on the backstory can do so.
Personally, even if I had a transcription reference (is that the image above? It isn’t rendering on my browser) I’d find it extremely hard to use – I just don’t have any facility for that sort of thing.
By the way, even with the untranslatable text, I really love this comic! Thanks to EldoniusRex for this.
This comic needs ohnorobot or some other transcribing service. That way we only have to have one person decrypt and transcribe each comic. plus as cool as the alien language looks it’s kind of hard to read in the comic.
The alien language is purposely meant to be a language barrier between the creatures and Emily, along with the reader. But, the gimmick may have reached the end of its novelty.
Suggestion noted.
Is it ok to find typos on the translation card as well? “… hours of tedious fun!”
You know what, that isn’t even the biggest mistake I made on the translation card. Geeeeezzz.

the m looks a bit like the logo of the car brand lada. http://www.jmautodeler.com/shop/images/Lada-logo.jpg
Wow, that does looks remarkably similar!

I think at this point it sort of makes sense since Emily has been learning their language. Maybe enough to get by. It’s your comic.
