But, there is no denying that the digital process is much faster. I still plan to keep a classical approach to the art even with the tech move. So, don't expect to see a whole lot of computer flim-flammery as the comic moves forward. Well, I definitely hate to leave the old ink and paper process behind. Starting this week, Astray3 has gone completely digital. Sarah Ellerton's "The Phoenix Requiem" is known for having the best update:quality ratio out there and she's the same. All Digital. It can be difficult to transition if you're not accustomed to it (sort of like learning to drive with gears when you're accustomed to an Automatic car) but once you are it cuts out a whole load of steps. Plus there's certain things you can do in the digital arena which are simply faster than doing it by hand, or not even possible by hand. As he improves the process, it wouldn't surprise me if he finds himself able to produce the Monday strips on a daily basis in the same time-frame, or even able to build a 50 page Buffer like Sarah. It's not like you're skimping on detail, either! How in the world do you manage to keep pumping out stuff of this quality 5 times a week? It’s not like you’re skimping on detail, either!
