I just figured it was either to make her stand out better on dark backdrops or because she was too great a distance for it to look right. Copy the images to mspain and quickly fill the blanks, you'll see what they're talking about. Yeah, I feel like Emily's dreams are significant too. Personally I don't think they'll have any great effect, just turn out as a desirable and useful trait for some future task/function she needs to serve. And yes, I'm loving this new dynamic as well. We got a hint of it at the very start with Rand and Xuan but now it's opened up a whole lot more on top of us when we're still only grasping just to figure out the whole Astray3 world. yeah, I noticed the same with Emily’s striped shirt. I'm really looking forward to learning more about these characters, their motives and how they are shaping the world. Though I'm curious as to whether Emily will ever directly alter the world in the same way. At the moment I suspect she's a pawn in some master plan and yet I still can't shake the feeling that her dreams mean something. Obviously there are limitations to producing the strip in black and white. So when Umway has to stand out against a black back drop he is portrayed in white and on largely white backgrounds his black details are filled in. It should be assumed that his markings are always black, unless specified otherwise. Umway’s color changes are simply the result of spotting blacks on the comic.
