Are hedge trimmers really that lethal? (2 Comments)

A short while back I heard a delightful hate filled person on The Webcomic Beacon‘s Anti-Valentine day episode. That voice belonged to Jules Rivera creator of Marsh Rocket. Needless to say I enjoyed the episode so much I had to check out her comic.

What you will find in Marsh Rocket is a thrill ride of gun fights, blood/gore, magic, invisible assasins in cool suits, and yes hedge trimmer-cide. And it is all produced in a very slick comic book format that begs to be collected in a graphic novel. Highly Recommended.

Oh Snap, Rocco knows!!

I want to give props to Astray3 reader and commenter Rocco. That magnificent bastard, or bastess, has cracked the Alien language. How do I know? Rocco pointed out that the big monster that ate Emily was called 2 different things between comic #110 & #113. After checking my layouts, I can confirm Rocco is absolutely right. I would also point out that the creature has not been named in the English portions of the comic yet.

So Rocco, you win. I dread to see what else you find. (Guess, I should release an alphabet key for everyone else.)

There are going to be a few changes to the comic starting today.

The week will now consist of 5 updates. Monday through Thursday will be the normal B&W single strip comics. The double comic will be moved to Friday and will be B&W also. This maybe a disappointment to some of you folks out there, but I feel the changes are necessary to the sustainability and prosperity of the comic. (Plus, save some of my sanity. )

So what does this get you? The time saved will be directed toward promotion and expanding the website, along with some extra art goodies. Hopefully this will be a win win situation for both of us.

Do want to hear me rant about comics? Well tune into the TGT webcomics podcast on Feb, 22. I will try to be as entertaining and informative as possible, but I won’t make any promises. You can join the conversation live on TalkShoe and address your questions to me personally. I will try not to blow your minds, again no promises.

In the meantime, I would encourage you to tune into the other TGT podcasts. This weekend they will be interviewing Jesse Justice from El Diablito del Ring and next weekend will be Jennie Breeden from The Devil’s Panties. Plus they have a hefty back log of shows to listen to.
