You know, thats the first time I think I’ve ever seen the word “Skedaddle” used in text *lol*.
Damn! If that is the true humans/Avalonians then it looks like they were ready to react at a moments notice or have been watching Emily themselves. Although, considering Ramon thought “Stray’s” resemblance to humans was uncanny and this thing looks far different and has hands like Umway, It could be someone/something else. I’m trying to tell if Umway finds Emily much more important than mere entertainment to take such a risk or if it was just a split second choice that he didn’t have time to think about.
This has almost certainly got to be the end of Umway if the Avalonians out to kill, and this is one of them pointing right at him, although maybe it’ll just be political troublel depending on the aggression they have towards each other. Heck, I’m still trying to tell if the “guy” appeared because of Umway or because it was about to save Emily it’s self. The only way out I see for Umway is if he sends that rock into “it” or Emily decides to lend a hand (not that she’d know which one is Umway).
I still find it interesting that this world considers “Humans” to be their Gods, so if we presume the Avalonians are posers it makes you wonder what Earth humans have to do with the place and it’s ancient history or even creation. Just where have such legends come from?
For some reason I get the impression that it’s a “true” human saving her… the “shucks” doesn’t sound harsh enough to be that he’s overly concerned by their appearance.
That said I keep getting the impression that Emily has been to this world before- and some how if thats right then I’m pretty sure that it’s not only in her dreams. I’d ask if it’s possible that Emily was the human child, or a relative thereof but I’d rather wait to find out as the story progresses.
Or it’s an Avalon come to stop Willy from saving her. Or it’s one of Drake’s Conservatives (the group Willy belongs to) come to see what he’s up to. Willy did describe himself as a ‘complete double agent’, so who knows which cover he’s just blown.
Is it just me, or does Umway look like Shamu on a jet-ski?

It’s a veritable spy thriller!
Is that a… “human”, coming to save her? Or is that only my imagination?
(Oh, how this will ruin her reputation…)
